Welcome!

My photo
Welcome! My name is Mrs.G and I started this blog so people could share in my mis-adventures in wedding planning. I married my southern gentleman on September 6th, 2009. Throughout our courtship I became enamored with everything southern and desperately want to become a steel magnolia.

Case of the Mondays

this is me today. I have a serious case of the Mondays.
This past year I have become in a rut with my work. I am so very grateful to be employed, let me get that out there but after being here for 4 years (this August) I am left wanting more. Hopefully I will find that with school, I am hoping that it lights the spark in me, the little Mrs. G spark that used to burn so bright that I had to wear shades.
Biggest pet peeve at work right now:
Mrs G: Thank you for calling the company you wanted to call, this is Mrs. G how can I help you?
Caller: Hi Mrs.G How are you?
Mrs.G: I am fi-
Caller proceeds to cut me off and talk over me.
Why ask? Why ask how I am doing if you aren't going to let me tell you!?!?!?! I have gotten to the point where I talk over them and answer their question.
I know they are being nice, but how about you save the nice and tell me what you want.
Good news is my MK will be here today!!!!!!!!!!!! After our March meeting I am going to turn my bathroom in to a spa and pamper myself with a facial, mani and pedi.

  1. Aaahhhh... work. How lovely. My biggest pet peeve right now,
Me (full of couth and decorum): This is J-Bird!
Them (all hillbilly and toothless type): Why do I have to go to school?
Me: Because The Man said so.
Them: I ain't goin'! And you can't make me and I'm tellin' on you!
Me: You can tell whomever you'd like. You still must go to school.
    *** four minutes later...
My Boss: J-Bird, they don't have to go to school because I said so and if The Man has a problem tell him to call me.
The Man: J-Bird! EVERYONE GOES TO SCHOOL!
Me (to The Man): Please call My Boss.
