Welcome!

My photo
Welcome! My name is Mrs.G and I started this blog so people could share in my mis-adventures in wedding planning. I married my southern gentleman on September 6th, 2009. Throughout our courtship I became enamored with everything southern and desperately want to become a steel magnolia.

Sofa King Awesome!

Alright. Last night my mother in law made me the happiest girl this side of the Missip(pronounced Miss sip), as my Grandma would say.
She informed hubs and I that she will be footing the bill for our sofa!!!! I can't tell you how happy that makes me. We were so worried about what to do, our sofa is getting worse, I mean you just look at it and something else snaps inside of it. If it was a horse I'd a shot it.
Hubs and I are going to make our selection tonight so hopefully we can have it by the weekend.
And now a little work story for you.

We all have that one co-worker, you know the one I am talking about. The one that is really good person but like everyother human has their, well to put it politely, quirks. This guy. The guy that sits behind me at work, is one of those co-workers.
My other "Pod" mate brings the paper in, and she always gives quirky guy the comics. Now, because we are in our slow season here at work I usually have a book with me and at this point in the morning am enthralled in my story. Then out of nowhere he will be standing right next to me, shoving the funnies in my face (seriously invading my personal space) and telling me I have to read this one, it is so funny. sigh....
Is it wrong that I feel obligated to laugh?
I mean he is standing about 2 feet from me and is looking at me waiting for me to find the hilarity in family circus. I will let out a forced "Heh." and that is that. But I wait for it every morning. The affront to my personal space, the awkward slice as I read, the desperate look in his eyes as I finish...
One word for you my dear readers.
Awkward.

  1. I just have to say that you cracked me up with that "over the shoulder" photo! I have a similarly unfortunate coworker who actually sits in the exact same place in relation to me - I don't think I'm brave enough to sneak a photo though.
